WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's tennis team (10-6) picked up its second straight victory with a 6-1 win over Shaw (1-6) Tuesday afternoon at the Bulldogs complex.
The Bulldogs swept the doubles' action while seniors
Oscar Marmestedt (Akersberga, SWEDEN) and
Diego Agudelo (Bogata, COLOMBIA) and freshman
Johan Holgersson (Bromma, SWEDEN) all won at singles and doubles for Barton.
Holgersson has won four straight matches in singles play for Barton, who are ranked No. 19 in NCAA Division II.
Barton returns to the court and Conference Carolinas play on Friday when the Bulldogs travel to Franklin Springs, Ga., to face Emmanuel (Ga.) beginning at 2:00 p.m., while Shaw takes on Chowan next Tuesday, April 5, in Murfreesboro, N.C., at 2:00 p.m.
