HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Barton College men's and women's outdoor track and field teams completed action Friday at the 2021 VertKlasse Meeting at Dick Vert Stadium on the campus of High Point University.
On the women's side, freshman
Bianca Kave (Hamden, Conn.) and junior
Ashley Teilborg (Sneads Ferry, N.C.) had a pair of top-10 finishes to lead the Bulldogs.
Kave took sixth place in the long jump (16'11") while Teilborg placed seventh overall in the javelin with a throw of 113'0".
In the men's competition, Barton senior
Chianti Ghee (Fayetteville, N.C.) finished 10th in the discus (157'2"). Meanwhile, junior
Tyler Burns (Wilson, N.C.) ran the 200-meter dash in 22.63 seconds, good for 13th-place overall for the Bulldogs.
The Barton men's and women's outdoor track and field teams next compete in the Trojan Relays on Saturday, April 10, on the campus of the University of Mount Olive in Mount Olive, N.C.
