WINGATE, N.C. – The Barton men's and women's swimming teams fell in a tough dual meet to NCAA Division II-power Wingate Saturday afternoon on the road at the Wingate Natatorium. On the women's side, Wingate won by a 178-63 score while the home team's men's squad downed Barton, 154-96.
Barton sophomore All-American
Bartlomiej Swiderski (Warsaw, POLAND) won the men's 100-yard backstroke with a time of 51.50 seconds and was also credited with the victory in the men's 200-yard backstroke (1:55.58) and placed second in the men's 200-yard individual medley (1:58.75).
Barton also earned victories in the men's and women's 200-yard freestyle relays with times of 1:28.43 and 1:41.45, respectively. Barton sophomore
Carrington Clack (Garner, N.C.) was part of the women's 200-yard freestyle relay for the Barton Bulldogs and placed second in the women's 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.12 seconds.

Adalaya Nemitz (Waxhaw, N.C.) in the women's 200-yard IM (2:18.94), freshman
Robert Green (Jacksonville, N.C) in the men's 100-yard butterfly (54.88), freshman
Marie-Eve Hebert (Quebec, CANADA) in the women's 100-yard butterfly (1:00.69), senior
Jonathan Moss (Mechanicsville, Va.) in the men's 200-yard breaststroke (2:13.98) and freshman
Emme Ham (Plantation, Fla.) in the women's 200-yard breaststroke (2:32.96).
The Barton swimming teams will next compete in a dual meet on Saturday, February 6, at 1:00 p.m., against Chowan in Murfreesboro, N.C., while Wingate next competes in the 2021 Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championship beginning on Thursday, February 18, in Fort Mill, S.C.
