The Lady Bulldogs boast a 13-2 overall record after drilling an impressive 11-of-19 (57.9%) attempts from behind the arc in the win. The 11 treys ties a season-best sum matched on December 11 against Fayetteville State University. Barton has won seven in a row after reaching the 100-plus point mark for the second straight game. The Bulldogs remain undefeated in league play at 9-0 after notching their 27th consecutive Conference Carolinas regular season victory.

Barton had four other players reach double figures, all from off the bench. Senior Shawnta Shelton (Pleasant Garden, N.C.) led the reserves with 12 points. Dean and White both connected for 11 points with their long range precision, which are season-high marks for both student-athletes. The Valkyries stumbled to 3-13 and 3-6 after suffering their third straight defeat.
Converse received a game-high 20 points from sophomore Amber Mooney (Tallahassee, Fla.), who made 10-of-12 free throws. Senior Latrell Nickens (Sumter, S.C.) swished 16 and classmate Morgan Sacharski (Sussex, Wis.) tallied 10.

The hosts shot 42% compared to 34% by the visitors. Barton forced Converse into 34 mistakes with pressure defense that capitalized on 20 steals for 28 fast-break points and 45 points off turnovers.
BC senior point guard Jamila Johnson (Garner, N.C.), who ranks fifth nationally in assists, handed out five dimes in just 15 minutes of action.
