Limestone women’s volleyball takes down Barton in three sets

WILSON, N.C. – The Limestone women's volleyball team (7-5, 4-0) remained unbeaten in Conference Carolinas play with a 3-0 victory over Barton (4-5, 1-2) Friday evening at James B. Hunt High School.

The Saints – winners of four straight contests – defeated the Bulldogs by scores of 25-8, 25-19 and 25-16 and limited Barton to just a 0.10 hitting percentage.

Limestone's Jordan Bowen (Omaha, Neb.) and Madysen Williams (Antioch, Tenn.) finished with 15 and 13 kills, respectively, while Mia Bergen (Aberdeen, S.D.) added 39 assists as the Saints hit .320 in the victory.

Barton junior outside hitter Kaytlin Elkins (Hope Mills, N.C.) finished nine kills and freshman outside hitter Allison Gambill (Hickory, N.C.) added seven kills and nine digs in the setback.  Elkins continues to lead the team in kills with 159.

Barton remains at home to face Converse in a Conference Carolinas match on Saturday afternoon beginning at 2:00 p.m., while Limestone takes on Chowan in Murfreesboro, N.C., on Saturday starting at 2:00 p.m., as well.
