Barton women’s golf opens fall season with third-place finish at the 2019 Cutter Creek Invitational

SNOW HILL, N.C. – The Barton women's golf team finished third overall at the 2019 Cutter Creek Invitational to kick off the 2019 fall season at the Cutter Creek Golf Club with the second and final round on Tuesday.

Barton carded a 660 (+84) on the par-72, 5,864-yard course while Mount Olive won the 36-hole tournament with a 616 (+40).  Barton was led by senior Clare McMahon (Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA) with a 154 (+10), good for a sixth-place finish overall.  Mount Olive's Johanna Andersson (Stockholm, SWEDEN) was the top individual with a five-over 149.

The Barton women's golf team will next compete at the Battle at Old South on Saturday, September 21, and Sunday, September 22, at Old South Golf Links in Bluffton, S.C.
