Barton in third place after round one of 2019 Cutter Creek Women’s Golf Invitational

SNOW HILL, N.C. – The Barton women's golf team stands in third place Monday after the opening round of the 2019 Cutter Creek Invitational at the Cutter Creek Golf Club.

The Bulldogs shot a 329 (+41) on the par-72, 5,864-yard course while Mount Olive leads the quartet of teams with a 308 (+20).  Chowan's Inecia Rolle (Nassau, BAHAMAS) leads the way individually after 18 holes of competition with a one-over 73.

For Barton, senior Clare McMahon (Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA) is tied for fourth overall with a 76 (+4) while senior Nikki Norlin (Innisfail, Alberta, CANADA) carded a seven-over 79 after the first round of action.

The tournament will conclude with the second round on Tuesday.
