WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's soccer team (11-3-1, 6-3) bounced back with a 2-1 triumph over Emmanuel (Georgia) (8-5-1, 4-3-1) Saturday afternoon on Senior Day at Electric Supply Company Field in Conference Carolinas action.
Barton received goals from freshman midfielder Nico Rocksien (Jersbek, GERMANY) – his first of the year – and junior forward Ruben Mancio (Olvera, SPAIN) and the Bulldogs were able to hold on for the victory and remain in sole possession of third place in the league standings.

Emmanuel's Sebastian La Cava-Abudoj (Suwanee, Ga.) cut the score in half with just over a minute later after finishing off a corner kick from Kevin Fitzgerald (Roscrea, IRELAND) right in front of the net but the Bulldogs were able to prevail. Barton also held a 20-14 advantage in shots taken while senior Francisco Noguera (Santiago, CHILE) earned the win in goal after saving four shots. The Lions' Giuliano Palma (Napoli, ITALY) made five stops despite the loss for Emmanuel.
