NORMAN, Okla. – Barton College's Bryson Boyette has been named to the 2019 Division II PING All-Southeast Region Team, announced earlier today by the GCAA (Golf Coaches Association of America).
Boyette, a sophomore from Wilson, N.C., and a graduate of Ralph L. Fike High School, was named the 2019 Conference Carolinas Men's Golfer of the Year and was a first-team all-conference selection.
Boyette – who led the squad in scoring average (72.4) this year – also earned Conference Carolinas All-Tournament accolades after leading the squad to a second-place finish at the league championships last month. Boyette's season included three top-five finishes as well.
Boyette qualified for the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Region Men's Golf Tournament earlier in May at Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., as an individual but was forced to withdrawal prior to the start of the tournament due to injury.
The GCAA selects players from all eight regions: East, Atlantic, Southeast, South, Midwest, South Central and Central.
