AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Barton men's basketball team (3-5) fell to Augusta (4-2) by an 86-73 score in a non-league regional contest Saturday afternoon at Christenberry Fieldhouse.

Augusta's Rafael Monteiro (Sao Paulo, BRAZIL) led all scorers with 22 points while Darren Lucas-White (Capitol Heights, Md.) added 18 points off the bench as the Jaguars beat the Bulldogs for the second time this year.  The Jaguars also shot 54 percent (30-of-56) from the floor in winning their second straight game.

Barton was led by junior forward Isaiah Reddish (Durham, N.C.) with 18 points while sophomore center Blake Burdack (Melbourne, AUSTRALIA) and senior forward Isaiah Buck-Lowman (Woodbridge, Va.) scored 16 and 14 points, respectively, in the losing effort.  All three players pulled downed seven rebounds while Buck-Lowman is just 43 points away from 1,000 for his collegiate career.

Barton held a 54-51 lead at the 11:20 mark of the second half thanks to a lay-up by Burdack before Augusta reeled off nine straight points to take the lead for good.  The Jaguars were aided by a 21-of-27 performance from the free throw line in the victory as well.

Barton returns home to take on Limestone in a Conference Carolinas game on Tuesday, December 3, beginning at 7:30 p.m., while Augusta hosts Emmanuel (Ga.) on Thursday, December 5, starting at 11:00 a.m.
