WILSON, N.C. – Several Barton College sports have rescheduled their Fall 2019 openers thanks to the forecast of Hurricane Dorian.

The women's soccer team will now host Coker at 4:30 p.m., on Saturday in its first game after its road match with Shaw on Thursday was called off.  Meanwhile, the Bulldogs' men's soccer team will host Catawba on Saturday at 7:00 p.m., instead of North Carolina Wesleyan in their season opener.  Both contests will take place at the Electric Supply Company Field.  The NCWC match will be made up at a later day.

The Barton women's volleyball team will still take on Queens (12:15 p.m.) and Francis Marion (4:45 p.m.) on Saturday on the second day of the Queens Fall Classic in Charlotte, N.C.  The team's two matches on Friday were called off.

Finally, the Barton men's and women's cross country teams will open the season on Saturday, September 21, at the North Carolina Wesleyan Invitational in Rocky Mount, N.C.  The two teams will not compete this weekend at the Fleet Feet Invitational in Salisbury, N.C.
