WILSON, N.C. – The Barton College women's volleyball team will have to wait one more day to make its 2017 home debut.
Barton's match with Francis Marion University, originally slated for Tuesday, Sept. 12, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m. in Wilson Gymnasium. The change was made as a precaution over any potential weather impacts on FMU in South Carolina due to Hurricane Irma.
The Lady Bulldogs have played their first nine matches of the year on the road, all but one of those coming in tournaments at Daytona Beach, Fla., and Aiken, S.C.
Freshman Kaytlin Elkins will enter her first home match for Barton on Wednesday as the Conference Carolinas leader in total kills with 115. She currently ranks second in kills per set at 3.59. Redshirt junior Riley Bane also leads the league in both total digs (174) and digs per set (5.44).
