HIGH POINT, N.C. – Two members of the Barton women's tennis team, Vanessa Sanoja and Marissa Stevenson, were selected as members of the Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis All-Conference teams the league announce on Thursday night.

For the third year in a row, the all-conference awards were handed out based on a season points system rather than by a vote of the league's head coaches. The league honors 12 individuals as members of two singles all-conference teams, while six athletes earn a place on the doubles all-conference team.

Sanoja, a sophomore from Bolivar, Venezuela, was a first team singles selection after posting a 14-4 overall record with a perfect 11-0 mark as the team's primary No. 3 player. She also won a match as the No. 2 player and ended the season with seven wins in her final 10 matches.

Stevenson, a freshman from Kirk Michael, Isle of Man, was the team's primary No. 2 singles play and earned a place on the singles second team. The first-year player turned in a 13-7 singles record with an 8-3 mark against conference opponents.

Barton begins play in the Conference Carolinas Tournament tomorrow as the No. 6 overall seed. The team's quarterfinals matchup with No. 3 seed North Greenville University is scheduled to begin at Noon in Sumter, S.C.
