WILSON, N.C.-Barton College's Meredith Pruden has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Player of the Week during week two of the 2012-13 Tennis season.

Sophomore transfer Meredith Pruden has won all four of her singles and doubles matches in Barton College's current four-match win streak including dominating wins against Chowan University and Converse College this past week.

The Wilson, N.C., product only lost 4-of-44 games played this week between singles and doubles competition.

Pruden improved to 5-2 overall in singles competition at No. 4 for Barton with a 6-1, 6-0 win against the Hawks and 6-0, 6-1 win against the Valkyries.

Pruden also moved to 6-1 in doubles competition for the Lady Bulldogs after pairing with freshman Smiljana Kljajic for two 8-1 wins at No. 2.

Barton women's tennis is scheduled to play at Belmont Abbey and Queens this weekend before returning home for league tilt against Erskine on Friday, March 1.
