MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – Barton's Laisy Scardazzi has been named to the 2018 NCCSIA College Division All-State Women's Soccer Second Team. NCCSIA is the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association.

Scardazzi, a senior midfielder from Sao Paulo, BRAZIL, is a two-time all-league honoree (2017 and 2018) who tied for the team lead in goals this year with seven and ranked second on the squad in points (15). Scardazzi also had two match-winning scores this fall.

The Bulldogs finished 10-6-2 on the year, 5-5-1 in Conference Carolinas play and advanced to the semifinals of the league tournament championship.

Founded in 2002, the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) is comprised of sports information professionals from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and independent institutions from the state of North Carolina. The purpose of the organization is to promote collegiate athletics at all schools.

Membership is open to anyone affiliated with a college, university or conference located in North Carolina, and whose area of responsibility lies within sports information. NCCSIA selects all-state teams in the University (Division I) and College (Division II, III, NAIA) divisions for men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, softball and baseball.
