WILSON, N.C. – The schedule for this weekend's BC Classic women's soccer tournament has been significantly changed due to the inclement weather expected in the area on Friday.
Catawba College was originally slated to play University of Missouri-St. Louis and Anderson University was scheduled to play host Barton College in Wilson on Friday evening. Instead, a single match will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday at the WRAL Soccer Park in Raleigh, N.C., with Barton playing Missouri-St. Louis in that contest.
Sunday's matchups and times will remain the same as previously scheduled – Anderson vs. UMSL at 3 p.m. and Catawba vs. Barton at 5 p.m. – but those matches will now be held in Holly Springs, N.C., at Ting Park instead of in Wilson.
Live video will no longer be available, but Barton sports information will continue to provide live stats of all matches. Links will be available at www.BartonBulldogs.com.
The Go4theGoal charity fundraiser planned around the tournament will be postponed until Barton's home match against Shaw University on Wed., Sept. 6.
