Women’s lacrosse falls to Montevallo, 15-5

TIGERVILLE, S.C. – Barton College freshman Alyssa Torres scored three of her team's five goals in a 15-5 women's lacrosse loss to University of Montevallo on Friday at North Greenville University's Pepsi Stadium.

Torres, a resident of White Plains, Md., had one goal on the season before finding the net three times against the Falcons (6-5). Kianna Jimenez and Courtney White accounted for the other two goals for the Lady Bulldogs (0-6).

Jimenez also won eight draw controls, while freshman Rebecca Fraser collected seven ground balls, giving her 19 in her last three matches.

Sophomore Jami Hudak had a game-high five goals for the Falcons, which led 10-1 at the half.

Barton will hit the road again on Sunday to face Lees-McRae College in a 2 p.m. Conference Carolinas matchup at Banner Elk, N.C.
