Barton women’s golf stands in fourth place with one round to go at the league championship

HARTWELL, Ga. – The Barton College women's golf team is now in fourth place alone at the 2019 Conference Carolinas Championship after the second round of play Monday at the Cateechee Golf Club.

After 36 holes of play, Barton has a 647 (+71) on the par-72, 5,831-yard course while No. 13 Limestone increased its lead to 29 shots over Mount Olive with a 604 (+28) with one round to go.

Barton is led by senior Sydney Turner (Montgomery, Ala.) and junior Nikki Norlin (Innisfail, Alberta, CANADA).  Both players are tied for 14th overall with a 161 (+17).  Converse's Tyler Dawson is the top individual with five-over 149 after two rounds of competition.

The third and final round of the tournament will take place on Tuesday.
