Nikki Norlin wins the 2019 Barton Women’s Golf Intercollegiate

WILSON, N.C. – The Bulldogs' junior Nikki Norlin (Innisfail, Alberta, CANADA) shot a 151 (+7) to win the 2019 Barton Women's Golf Intercollegiate which wrapped up Tuesday at the Wilson Country Club.

Barton, as a team, finished runner-up with a 633 (+57) on the par-72, 5,903-yard course while Mount Olive won the tournament by beating out the Bulldogs by two strokes.  The Trojans carded a 631 (+55) after 36 holes of play.

In addition, senior Sydney Turner (Montgomery, Ala.) tied for second overall for the Bulldogs with a 154 (+10).  Joining Turner in the top five includes a trio from Mount Olive:  Linn Anderson with a 154 (+10) and Linn Bergman and Johanna Andersson who both tied for fourth overall with a 158 (+14).

The Barton women's golf team returns to the links on Monday, March 18, and Tuesday, March 19, to compete in the Coker Spring Invitational in Hartsville, S.C., at the Hartsville Country Club.
