Barton women’s golf in ninth place after opening round of the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate

OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C. – The Barton women's golf team shot a 330 (+42) and sits in ninth place after the first round Monday of the 2018 Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate at the Ocean Ridge Plantation Panther's Run Course.

Lenoir-Rhyne, the co-host along with Lincoln Memorial, leads at the halfway point with a 304 (+16) on the par-72, 5,937-yard course. 

Barton is led by senior Kelsey Woodall (Chester, Md.), who is tied for 20th overall with an eight-over 80.  Freshman Shalie Williams (Shawboro, N.C.) is in a 24th-place tie for the Bulldogs with an 81 (+9).  Tusculum's Cydney Murrell leads after the first 18 holes of competition with an even-par 72.

The second and final round of the tournament takes place on Tuesday.
