MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) announced its selections for the 2017-18 College Division All-State Women's Basketball Teams on Tuesday, selecting Barton's Kianna Wynn to the first-team and Alex Kimble to the second-team.

Kimble, a forward from Virginia Beach, Virginia, was named all-state for the first time in her career after finishing second on the team in scoring and appearing in all 32 games for the Bulldogs. The redshirt senior, who was also named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference First Team for the first time in her career, topped the 20-point mark nine times and twice crossed the 30-point mark.

She tallied a career-high 37 points at home against Southern Wesleyan on Senior Night, going 7-of-11 from 3-point range and 12-of-19 from the floor. Kimble ranked sixth in the league in scoring and set career-highs in rebounds (10 at North Greenville, 1/13/18) and assists (5 at Fayetteville State, 12/30/17).

Wynn, a forward from Knightdale, N.C., receives All-State accolades for the third consecutive season after being named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference Second Team and D2CCA All-Southeast Region Second Team. She was Barton's top offensive threat down the stretch, helping lead the Bulldogs to a second league championship title in the program's NCAA Division II era and the seventh appearance in the NCAA Tournament under the direction of head coach Wendee Saintsing.

She led the Bulldogs in points per game (17.7) and rebounds per game (9.0) while ranking fourth in the league in scoring and sixth in rebounding. Wynn topped the 20-point mark eight times and the 30-point mark once after dropping 35 points against Lees-McRae College in the quarterfinals of the Conference Carolinas Tournament. She also garnered Most Outstanding Player honors after averaging 27.3 points per game in the tournament.

In all, players from nine different schools were represented on the team, as Barton was the only institution to have multiple players chosen to the list.

Nominees were submitted by North Carolina sports information professionals and voted on by the NCCSIA members.
