HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College sophomore forward Kianna Wynn has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball All-Conference First Team, the league announced Thursday.

The Knightdale, N.C. resident's selection continues a long line of Lady Bulldog success as at least one member of the Barton women's basketball has been honored as an all-conference performer since the 1995-1996 season. It is the second such award for Wynn who was named to the All-Conference First Team last season and was also named the Freshman of the Year.

"Kianna has had a very consistent year.  She has shown more dominance in the post and controlled the boards," said head coach Wendee Saintsing. "She has learned to use her quickness, speed and agility to get the best of her opponents. She has been outstanding this season and the honor is well deserved."

Wynn earned her recognition after leading the league in scoring at 18.6 points per game, while pulling down 10.3 rebounds per contest, ranking her third overall in the league. She also placed second overall among conference performers shooting 55.2 percent from the field. Her 19 double-doubles lead all Lady Bulldogs over 29 games thus far.

The 2016-17 regular season for Wynn was highlighted by a career-high 38 points, shooting 13-for-17 from the floor and 12-for-18 from the free throw line, with 16 rebounds in a January showdown with Converse College on the road.

She has scored at least 20 points 12 different times during the season and has totaled 299 rebounds, the third highest single season total for a Barton women's basketball player.

Wynn also helped lead the Lady Bulldogs into the Conference Carolinas Tournament for the 22nd consecutive season where No. 4 Barton has already defeated No. 5 North Greenville 89-62 on Monday night. Barton travels to play No. 1 seed and tournament host Limestone College tonight, March 2, at 5:30 p.m.
