Three Lady Bulldogs score in double figures in 81-74 win over Pfeiffer

WILSON, N.C. – Three Lady Bulldogs scored in double figures, including two 20-point scorers, in an 81-74 victory over Pfeiffer University on Wednesday evening in Wilson Gym.

Sophomore Kianna Wynn led all players with 22 points and 11 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season.

Junior Karimah Dean also scored 22 points and added nine rebounds, while sophomore Dinah Neal chipped in 14 points, shooting 5-for-6 from the floor and 4-for-5 from the free throw line.

Barton made just 1-of-9 3-point attempts, but held a 41-30 advantage in total rebounds. BC also outscored the Falcons 30-8 in bench points as the lead changed hands just five times during the contest.

The Lady Bulldogs struggled out of the gate and trailed 15-13 following on quarter of play. However, Barton opened the second period with a 12-7 run to take a 25-22 lead with 6:23 to play in the half.

The BC lead stretched to a nine-point advantage following consecutive baskets from Wynn and Dean as the team carried a 40-33 lead into intermission.

Junior Tatyana Jackson opened the second half with a 3-pointer to give Barton its largest lead of 10 points as BC never trailed for the remainder of the game. The Lady Bulldogs shot 55.6 percent over game's final 20 minutes to secure the win on their home floor.

Barton will be on the road this weekend when the team travels to Tigerville, S.C. for a 2 pm. matchup with North Greenville University on Saturday, Feb. 4.
