Barton’s Adrian Iglesias earns 2019 Off the Block Freshman All-American Men’s Volleyball honors

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Barton College's Adrian Iglesias has been named to the 2019 Off the Block Freshman All-American Team for NCAA Division I-II Men's Volleyball.

Iglesias, a native of Guaynabo, PUERTO RICO, finished third on the team this year in kills with 263 in addition to 134 digs, 42 blocks and 16 service aces.  Iglesias also earned 2019 Conference Carolinas Championship All-Tournament honors.

Iglesias led the Bulldogs to their best season in school history as Barton fashioned a 25-5 record in addition to winning both the Conference Carolinas Regular Season and Tournament Championships.  The Bulldogs also hosted their first-ever NCAA Division I-II Men's Volleyball Championship Tournament match and beat three NCAA Division I schools in 2019.

Off the Block is a national award winning website that launched in 2011 and is the nation's leader in college men's volleyball coverage.

Off the Block annually presents college men's volleyball national awards to recognize outstanding individual performances in the sport. Along with the Freshmen All-American Team, Off the Block during the regular season presents the National Freshman of the Week.
