For the second week in a row, Barton’s Mandilaris garners player of the week honors

HIGH POINT, N.C. – For the second consecutive week in a row, Barton College sophomore Angelos Mandilaris has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Mandilaris averaged 4.50 kills per set while hitting .400 in leading the Bulldogs to a pair of sweeps and a 2-0 week in league play. The Chalkida, Greece, resident produced a match-high 17 kills in a 3-0 win over Limestone and delivered 10 kills in a sweep of North Greenville.

Mandilaris ranks second in the league in total kills (105) and third in kills per set (3.50).

While receiving player of the week accolades for the second straight time this season, Mandilaris collected the award just once last season.

The Bulldogs host Coker College at 7 p.m. in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday night inside Wilson Gym. BC travels to Fairfax, Va. on Feb. 9 to face NCAA Division I member George Mason University at 7 p.m. George Mason has received votes in each of the last two AVCA Division I-II Men's Volleyball Polls.
