TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the 2017 All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes, placing six Bulldogs on the list.
Senior Lorraine Chon-Qui and sophomores Daria Avram and Vanessa Sanoja were honored on the women's side, while senior Jake McCartney, junior Robby Taylor and freshman Julian Bosch earned awards for the men's team.
The six individuals were among a group of 35 total student-athletes from Conference Carolinas to receive the honor.
Chon-Qui, compiled a 3.62 GPA while double majoring in Sport Management and Mass Communications. Avram is a Psychology major with a minor in Broadcast Video Production and boasts a 3.67 GPA, while Sanoja has a 3.89 GPA in Mass Communication.
Bosch has posted a 3.70 GPA in his Sport Management major and McCartney graduate from BC following the spring semester with a 3.68 GPA with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting. Taylor is a Business Administration and Political Science double major with a 3.37 GPA.
In addition to their success in the classroom, the Lady Bulldogs were the 2017 Conference Carolinas Tournament runner-up, while the men's program won the 2017 Conference Carolinas Tournament and knocked of Queens University of Charlotte in the NCAA Southeast Regional opening round.
