Barton’s Ruben Mancio earns 2018 All-State honors in men’s soccer

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – Barton College's Ruben Mancio has been named to the 2018 NCCSIA College Division All-State Men's Soccer Second Team, announced earlier today.

Mancio, a sophomore forward from Cadiz, SPAIN, finished the season as the team's leader in both goals scored (11) and total points (23).  Mancio also notched four match-winning scores and was named to both the All-Conference Carolinas First Team and D2CCA All-Southeast Region Second Team earlier this month.

Mancio led the Bulldogs to an 8-7-1 mark – 4-5-1 in league play – this fall and a berth in the league tournament championship.

Founded in 2002, the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) is comprised of sports information professionals from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and independent institutions from the state of North Carolina. The purpose of the organization is to promote collegiate athletics at all schools.

Membership is open to anyone affiliated with a college, university or conference located in North Carolina, and whose area of responsibility lies within sports information.  NCCSIA selects all-state teams in the University (Division I) and College (Division II, III, NAIA) divisions for men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, softball and baseball.
