HIGH POINT, N.C. – Three members of the Barton Men's Soccer Team – sophomore forwards Ruben Mancio (Cadiz, SPAIN) and Pol Monells (Barcelona, SPAIN) and senior midfielder Tolly Beatson (London, ENGLAND) – have earned 2018 All-Conference Carolinas honors, league officials announced earlier today.

Mancio and Monells were named to the first team while Beatson garnered all-league second-team accolades.

Mancio led the team in goals scored (11) and total points (23) – both categories rank second in the league as well – while producing four match-winning scores.  Mancio was also named the player of the week by the conference and the United Soccer Coaches for NCAA Division II earlier this year.

Monells earned all-league honors for the second straight season after finishing the year with a team-leading six assists while ranking second on the squad in both goals scored (seven) and total points (20).

Beatson was named to the All-Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Second Team for the second straight year as well.  Beatson, a four-year starter, finished with six goals, two assists and 14 points for the fall campaign.  Beatson was a third-team all-league honoree as a freshman in 2015 and finished his Bulldog career with 16 goals, 19 assists and 51 total points.

All three players led Barton to a winning campaign in 2018 – 8-7-1 overall and 4-5-1 in league play – and a trip to the conference tournament championship.
