HIGH POINT, N.C. – Two members of the Barton College men's lacrosse team – sophomore attacker Jake Copio (Smyrna, Del.) and freshman attacker Mason Chaney (Dunkirk, Md.) – garnered 2019 All-Conference Carolinas Second-Team honors, league officials announced earlier today.

Copio led the squad in total points (59) and tied for the team lead in assists (23) in addition to 36 goals and 29 ground balls.  Copio was named the league player of the week on Monday, April 1.  Chaney, meanwhile, finished with a team-leading 49 goals and added seven assists for 56 total points.  Both players played in all 17 matches.

Barton went 5-12 on the year but did register a 3-4 mark in league play and earned a berth to the league tournament championship.  The Bulldogs also put together a four-game winning streak during the season under first-year mentor Warren Shumate.
