WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's lacrosse team (1-6) scored the first four goals of the match before Palm Beach Atlantic (4-2) rallied to take control on its way to a 16-9 triumph Monday afternoon over the Bulldogs at Electric Supply Company Stadium, the Bulldogs' new synthetic turf field.

Three players scored three times for the Sailfish – Townsend Brown (Fairfax, Va.), Jackson Miller (Annandale, Va.) and Zack Figura (Downers Grove, Ill.) – as Palm Beach Atlantic was able to overcome a 4-0 deficit to start the game.  Brown also added four assists as the Sailfish held the edge in both shots taken (58-31) and ground balls (48-32) on the day.

Barton was led by freshman attacker Mason Chaney (Dunkirk, Md.) with four goals and sophomore midfielder Jake Copio (Smyrna, Del.) totaled five points – three goals and two assists – but the Bulldogs were also done in by 30 turnovers.

With the score tied at six, Palm Beach Atlantic's Blake Israel (Parkland, Fla.) found the back of the net for the game-winner at the 9:01 mark of the second period.  In goal, the Sailfish's Ben Savick (Port Deposit, Md.) earned the win after making 11 saves while Barton sophomore Matt Stocks (Endicott, N.Y.) suffered the loss despite 14 stops on the day.
