Barton men’s golf in 11th place after the first day of the McDonough Cup

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Barton men's golf team stands in 11th place after day one and two rounds of the seventh annual McDonough Cup Monday at Rio Pinar Country Club.  The Bulldogs shot a 598 (+22) on the par-72, 6,955-yard course.

Rollins, ranked No. 24 in NCAA Division II, and Wingate are currently tied for first overall with a 584 (+8) after 36 holes of play.

Both sophomore Bryson Boyette (Wilson, N.C.) and senior Justin Plane (Whitby, Ontario, CANADA) are tied for 20th overall to lead the Bulldogs with one round to go.  Both players carded a four-over 148.  Columbus State's Jordan Doull leads the way individually with a 137 (-7).

The third and final round takes place on Tuesday.
