HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton sophomore Bryson Boyette garnered Conference Carolinas bi-monthly men's golf accolades, league officials announced earlier today.

Boyette, a sophomore from Wilson, N.C., earned all-tournament honors last week after finishing in a fourth-place tie at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate on October 1 and October 2, in Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.  Boyette shot a one-under 141 and led the Bulldogs to a third-place finish.

Boyette has been the team's top golfer in both tournaments this season – the Jay Jennison Cup on Sept. 24-25 in Saint Augustine, Fla., was the other – and has a 70.6-stroke average in five rounds this season.

Boyette was the 2018 Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Freshman of the Year and earned second-team all-league accolades last spring.  Boyette also won the 2018 Barton College Intercollegiate presented by Greenlight on March 12 and 13.

Barton will be back in action on Monday, October 15, and Tuesday, October 16, to compete in the Donald Ross Intercollegiate at the Mimosa Hills Golf and Country Club in Morganton, N.C.
