WILSON, N.C. – The Barton College men's golf program has added the Queens Invitational, slated for Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 18 and 19, to its 2017 fall schedule.

That event will replace the tournament lost this week when the Kiawah Island Invitational at Kiawah Island, S.C., was cancelled due to Hurricane Irma.

The Queens Invitational will be played on the 7,091-yard Club at Irish Creek layout in Kannapolis, N.C.

Barton competed in the same event there last season, finishing in a tie for fourth among 12 teams. Justin Plane led the Bulldogs a year ago, posting rounds of 72 and 75 to tie for seventh in a field of 68.

With the addition of the Queens tourney, Barton once again has a total of five events on its fall schedule. It has already completed one, finishing second in its own fall tournament, the Cutter Creek Invitational.
