WILSON, N.C. – The Barton College men's and women's basketball teams are set to host Conference Carolinas rival Mount Olive on Wednesday night inside Wilson Gym. Tip-off for the women's game is slated for 5:30 p.m. with the men's game to follow around 7:30 p.m.

The Barton College men's basketball team brings a 9-6 overall record and 5-0 conference mark into tonight's matchup against the Trojans. BC has won its last two conference games at home and sports a 6-3 record inside Wilson Gym this season. The University of Mount Olive (9-5, 5-0) is also on a two-game winning streak and sits atop the conference along with the Bulldogs.

Both teams enter tonight's contest ranked in the latest D2SIDA Southeast Region Poll as Barton finds itself at No. 8 and UMO at No. 5.

The Bulldogs will also be auctioning off special jerseys that will be worn by members of the team during pregame warmups. Fans will be able to bid on the jerseys during the game and all proceeds will benefit the Community Soup Kitchen of Wilson County, Inc.

The Barton College women's basketball team (9-5, 4-2) brings a six-game winning streak into tonight's tilt with the Trojans, while UMO (6-8, 4-2) has won its last two conference games to pull into a tie for third-place with the Lady Bulldogs.

Barton has outscored its opponents by an average of 27 points in its last four games at home and scored at least 70 points in each game. The winner between BC and UMO will move into sole possession of third-place and look to keep pace with the top-two teams in the conference, Belmont Abbey (10-4, 7-0) and Limestone (11-3, 6-1).

The Barton Student Government Association will be sponsoring Spirit Night as a tailgate will be held from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. just outside Wilson Gym (near ECS and Waters Hall).  Please note that a section of the road on Woodard and Championship Drive will be closed to safely accommodate the tailgate. Vehicles will not be able to access the area in front of the gym when turning from Atlantic Christian College Drive onto Woodard Street from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
