HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College junior Bobby Stenborg has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Stenborg recorded a career-high 28 points to lead conference co-leader Barton past third-place King University on Saturday. The 6-5 junior from Garner, N.C., scored 16 of those points in the game's final 10 minutes as the Bulldogs roared back from a 16-point deficit to grab the 92-90 victory. He also collected seven rebounds in the contest.

A day earlier, Stenborg posted 14 points, six rebounds and six assists in helping BC edge fourth-place Lees-McRae, 110-105.

The league honor is the first for Stenborg, a junior transfer in his first season with the Bulldogs. He is the fourth different Barton player to receive the award in 2017-18.
