Forty-three Barton student-athletes receive D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards

WILSON, N.C. – Forty-three Barton College student-athletes have been recognized as D2 ACA Academic Achievement Award winners for 2017-18, the Division 2 Athletics Directors Association announced Thursday.

Recipients must have completed at least four semesters of collegiate work, been an active member of an intercollegiate team and earned at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Sixteen of Barton’s 21 teams had at least one student-athlete honored, with the women’s soccer program bringing in a school-high 10 awards.

A total of 517 student-athletes representing six Conference Carolinas schools were named to the list. Nationally, more than 10,000 student-athletes were recognized from 162 member schools.
