WILSON, N.C. – On Saturday, Oct. 28, Barton College will hold a banquet to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of its national championship in men’s basketball and to perform inductions into its Athletic Hall of Fame. The event will be part of Homecoming Weekend, and tickets to attend can be purchased by the public.
The event will be held in a tent on the lawn just across Championship Drive from Wilson Gymnasium. A reception for attendees will be held from 5-5:30 p.m. and the program will run from 5:30-7 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40 each for adults and $20 each for ages 6-12. Ages 5 and under can attend free.

Players, coaches and support staff of the team traveling to Springfield, Mass., in 2007 to win the NCAA Division II national championship will be recognized at this event. Anthony Atkinson and Alejo Barovero, seniors on that team, and the team’s head coach, Ron Lievense, will be inducted into the Barton College Athletic Hall of Fame as part of the festivities.
