HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College swept the Conference Carolinas Men's and Women's Tennis Player-of-the-Week accolades, league officials announced earlier today.

The Bulldogs' sophomore Diego Agudelo (Bogata, COLOMBIA) earned weekly honors on the men's side while freshman Isabella Caballero (La Paz, BOLIVIA) was named the women's league player of the week.

Agudelo, a 2017-18 all-league third-team selection, won at first singles and first doubles in all three victories last week over Shaw (7-0), West Liberty (6-1) and Tiffin (4-3).  On the year, Agudelo has six wins in singles' action and five victories in doubles' play – all at No. 1.

Caballero went 2-0 on the week at No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles in leading Barton to victories over Shaw (7-0) and Tiffin (4-3).  In the singles' triumph against the Dragons on Saturday, Caballero rallied for a 6-4, 2-6 and 10-5 victory.  This season, Caballero is 9-1 in singles play and has six wins in doubles' competition.

Caballero is the third straight Bulldog to garner league women's tennis player-of-the-week honors and the fourth overall this season.

The Barton men's and women's tennis teams return to the court on Saturday to host West Virginia State at Noon.  The Bulldogs' women's team (8-3) is in the midst of a five-game winning streak as well.
